Prior to joining Sundeen, Salinas & Pyle as an associate attorney, Emily Bolt served as law clerk to the Honorable John E. Munter of the San Francisco Superior Court, Complex Civil Litigation Division and the Honorable Maxine M. Chesney of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Ms. Bolt is a 2007 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), where she served as Articles Editor for the California Law Review and as Submissions and Supervising Editor for the Berkeley Journal of International Law. During law school, Ms. Bolt also worked as a research assistant for Professor Ian Haney López, and as a summer associate at Rudy, Exelrod, Zeiff & Lowe, LLP and the Homeless Action Center.

Ms. Bolt received her Bachelor of Arts degree in the majors of English & French Literature and Sociology from the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated magna cum laude. As part of her degree, she spent one year studying at the Université Stendhal in Grenoble, France, and she is conversant in French.

Ms. Bolt’s areas of interest include complex class action litigation; employee rights; gender, race, and sexual orientation discrimination; police misconduct; and personal injury. In addition to her work with the firm, Ms. Bolt is a volunteer supervising attorney with the Worker’s Rights Clinic of the Legal Aid Society - Employment Law Center. She was born and raised in the Bay Area and currently lives in Oakland with her husband and two happy dogs.
