Ruben Sundeen graduated from Boalt Hall School of Law (U.C. Berkeley) and began practicing law in 1996. Before entering law school, Mr. Sundeen worked as an environmental assessor and consultant at Raney Geotechnical in Sacramento.
While at Boalt Hall, Mr. Sundeen was a member of the California Law Review and the La Raza Law Students Association. He also was student body President.
Ruben Sundeen has a general civil practice with an emphasis in the area of estates and trusts, real estate, and business transactions and disputes.
Since 2011, Mr. Sundeen has been recognized annually as a "Super Lawyer." This designation is limited to the top 5 percent of attorneys in California.
Mr. Sundeen has served on the board of the Alameda County Bar Association from 2010 through 2014, and he has been a co-chair of the bar’s Trusts and Estate section. He also has served on the board of the East Bay Trust and Estate Lawyers.
Mr. Sundeen has served multiple terms as President of the East Bay La Raza Lawyers Association (2004, 2007 and 2008). He also has served multiple terms as President of the Rotary Club of Oakland Sunrise (1999-2000 and 2013-2014).
He is a member of the Earl Warren American Inns of Court and a judge pro tempore in Alameda County.
